Your privacy

Privacy policy

Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what information may be collected when you visit Spells by Calista, place an order, request spellwork or a tarot reading, or contact me, and how that information may be used and protected. Last updated September 5, 2025.

Information and personalization

What may be collected and how it supports your requested service.

What information do you collect?

The information collected depends on how you use this website and which service you purchase.

This may include your name, email address, billing information, order details, and information you voluntarily provide when contacting me or requesting a personalized service.

For spellwork or tarot readings, you may also choose to provide names, birthdates, photographs, personal intentions, tarot questions, relationship details, or a description of your situation.

Why do you need personal information for spellwork?

Certain information is requested so I can identify and personalize the spiritual service you ordered.

Names, birthdates, photographs, intentions, and other information you voluntarily provide may be used as personal references when preparing your requested spellwork and its accompanying materials.

I ask you to provide only information that is relevant to the service you are requesting.

How is my information used?

Information collected through this website may be used to process and fulfill your order, personalize your requested service, communicate with you, deliver digital materials, respond to questions, maintain transaction records, prevent fraud or misuse, and operate or improve the website.

Your information may also be used where reasonably necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment-processing, or regulatory obligations.

How are photographs and personal stories handled?

I understand that the information clients share can be deeply personal. Photographs, intentions, questions, and descriptions submitted for a service are used to prepare and fulfill the requested work.

I do not treat client photographs or personal stories as public content simply because they were submitted with an order.

Please avoid providing information that is unnecessary for your service, particularly sensitive information that I have not requested.

What about information concerning another person?

Some services may allow you to provide limited information about another person involved in your situation, such as a name, birthdate, or photograph.

Only provide information you are lawfully permitted to share and that is reasonably necessary for the requested service. Do not submit another person's passwords, financial account information, government identification numbers, private medical records, or other highly sensitive information.

Platforms, payments and sharing

How Shopify, Whop, cookies, and other service providers may process information.

How are payments handled?

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers, including Whop and payment services made available through it. Those providers may collect and process information needed to complete transactions, prevent fraud, comply with financial regulations, and provide payment-related services.

Spells by Calista does not need your full payment-card number to prepare spellwork or a tarot reading. Never send full card numbers, security codes, banking passwords, or payment credentials through the contact form, email, or order instructions.

Does Shopify process information?

This website is operated using Shopify. Shopify and services connected to the store may process technical, device, order, and customer information needed to provide the website, shopping features, security, analytics, and related services.

Shopify processes information according to its applicable agreements and privacy practices. You can review Shopify's Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Controls.

When is personal information shared?

I do not sell client photographs, tarot questions, personal intentions, or personal stories as products.

Information may be disclosed to service providers when reasonably necessary to operate the website, process payments, deliver services, communicate with you, provide technical functionality, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.

These providers may include ecommerce hosting, payment processing, email or communication, digital delivery, analytics, fraud prevention, and other technology services. Certain privacy laws may define some advertising or analytics disclosures as a sale or sharing even when no money is exchanged; available privacy choices depend on the store settings and your location.

Do you use cookies and analytics?

This website and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, understand website usage, maintain security, measure performance, and support marketing where enabled.

Depending on your location and the store's active privacy settings, you may be offered choices regarding non-essential cookies, analytics, advertising, or data sharing.

Retention, security and your rights

How long information may be kept and the choices that may be available to you.

How long is my information kept?

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including fulfilling your service, maintaining business and transaction records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and satisfying legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.

Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

How do you protect my information?

I take reasonable steps to handle personal information carefully and use established service providers for operating the website and processing transactions.

However, no website, internet transmission, electronic storage system, or third-party platform can be guaranteed completely secure. Submit only information necessary for your order and never send passwords or payment credentials through ordinary messages.

What privacy rights do I have?

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide rights concerning your personal information. These may include requesting access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, or information about how your data is processed.

These rights are subject to applicable law and may have exceptions, including records that must be retained for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, or transaction purposes. You may contact me to make a privacy-related request.
